NICK PARKES RATES THE WOLVES PLAYERS IN THEIR 1-0 DEFEAT TO BOURNEMOUTH AT THE VITALITY STADIUM

JOSE SA 7

A confident performance from the keeper. Made a brilliant flying save in the second half and came for crosses well. Also saved well despite the effort being offside.

KI-JANA HOEVER 5

Unfortunately he came off injured just after the half hour mark. Did lose his man when Semenyo hit the crossbar.

MATT DOHERTY 6

A standard outing for Doc, didn’t really put a foot wrong but didn’t excel either,

EMMANUEL AGBADOU 4

A performance which lacked authority. A few decent channel balls but looked nervous on the ball. Lack of communication with Sa almost cost us conceding another. Wolves needs peak Agbadou back quickly!

TOTI 4

Brought down the last man which earned him a straight red and a  suspension. Also, a poor booking in the first half when he dragged back his man miles from his goal.

DAVID MOLLER WOLFE 5

Apart from one decent run on goal he didn’t really contribute. Fairly decent in possession. Was brought off for Hugo Bueno

JHON ARIAS 6

Can’t fault the effort but made little impact on the game apart from a decent effort just after the half time break. Tried to force attacks at times but was limited with support.

BELLEGARDE 2

Should have been brought off a lot sooner. A shocking start as he gifted the ball back for the only goal of the game. Looked lost in the centre, constantly out of position and extremely sloppy in possession.

JOAO GOMES 8 – MAN OF THE MATCH

Basically ran the centre midfield on his own. Never gave in and ran himself into the ground. Was absolutely everywhere and even looked an attacking threat in the second half.

MARSHALL MUNETSI 4

Typical workhorse performance but offered little in attack. Should have scored early on but his lack of finishing ability cost us again.

JORGEN STRAND LARSEN 3

Offered next to nothing up front apart from one header which he should have done better. Yes his support was limited but failed to win headers, failed to hold up play, bullied by defenders.

SUBS

Jackson Tchatchoua – 5

Looked steady when he came on and his pace going forward was incredible in the limited times he showed it. Also his speed of recovery was very impressive.

Andre – 5

Brought on at half time and did provide balance and support for the defence (and help for João). Helped limit Bournemouth attacks. Let’s hope his attitude in training improves this week.

Hugo Bueno – 6

A much stronger threat in attack than Wolffe. Tricky and finds space to put in good crosses. Made a claim to be in the starting 11.

Santi Bueno – 5

Came on after Toti’s red card and did his job. Caught being sucked in at times but nothing which cost us.

Hwang – 4

Offered very little when he came on.
