Premier League Match Week 9: Score Predictions, Surprises and Wins

As we dive into another exciting week of Premier League action, the tension is high, and the competition is fierce. Whether you’re following your favourite team through thick and thin or trying to figure out how to make the best picks, Premier League Match Week 9 promises to deliver all the drama and excitement we expect from the beautiful game.

This week, we’ve got our predictions lined up, including a few shockers that might just leave you as surprised as we were. Not only do we have score predictions, but we’re also sharing how we did last week and, of course, talking all things FanTeam for those of you joining us for some free fantasy football fun.

Last Week’s Results: Emma’s Winning Streak Continues

Let’s address Dave’s elephant in the room — he’s trailing behind Emma once again. Emma’s been on a roll, extending her lead to a whopping 19 points. It looks like Dave is as bad at predictions as Wolves are in their current form! With Emma sitting comfortably at 56 points and Dave scraping by with just 37, there’s a lot of catching up to do.

While Dave hoped last week would be his moment to shine, he fell short once more. Emma’s consistent accuracy, especially nailing the Man United vs Brentford scoreline (2-1), gives her a commanding lead going into Week 9. Will Dave turn it around? Only time will tell, but with jokes flying around that he’s “as bad as Wolves”, it doesn’t look promising just yet.

DAVE & EM: PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTIONS MW9

FanTeam Competition: Free Entry and Prizes

Fanteam has been a big hit with those following along, and last week was no exception. Despite not topping the leaderboard, we managed to win £5.44 from our free entry in a competition that had over 5,000 people. With winners being paid all the way down to 650th place, it’s not as hard as it sounds to grab some money off a free entry — and it’s all for a bit of fun.

Karl, one of our viewers, took home an impressive £35.20 from his free bet! So, if you haven’t joined yet, what are you waiting for? You can still grab your free ticket for Gameweek 9. If you joined last week, don’t forget, thanks to Wolves scoring, you get another free go this week. The more they score, the more free entries you get. Honestly, it’s a no-brainer!

Just remember: to get the free entry, you’ll need to use our link in the description. It helps you, helps us, and adds to the weekend buzz.

Leicester City vs Nottingham Forest

The week kicks off with an East Midlands derby. Leicester versus Nottingham Forest promises to be a battle between two sides eager for points. Forest remains unbeaten away from home this season, and after their recent win over Crystal Palace, they’re looking solid.

Emma: Forest 2-1 Leicester
Dave: Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Emma sees Forest continuing their good run, but Dave’s hoping for a more evenly matched game.

Aston Villa vs Bournemouth

Villa fans are in high spirits after recent victories, including a Champions League win over Bologna. Bournemouth beat Arsenal, although they were reduced to 10 men, and are riding a wave of confidence.

Emma: Villa 2-1 Bournemouth
Dave: Villa 2-0 Bournemouth

Expect good form from Villa to keep rolling.

Brentford vs Ipswich

Will Brentford’s home advantage be enough against an Ipswich side whose momentum seems to be fading?

Emma: Brentford 2-0 Ipswich
Dave: Brentford 2-1 Ipswich

Most people in the chat seem to be backing Brentford for a convincing win.

Brighton vs Wolves

Wolves’ form has been appalling this season, and Brighton, well, they’re our bogey team. Despite the tough fixture, optimism is always in the Wolves camp…

Emma: Brighton 2-2 Wolves
Dave: Tune into the match preview for Dave’s prediction

Emma, optimistically, predicts a draw — fingers crossed for a better weekend than usual.

Manchester City vs Southampton

It’s hard to see anything but a comfortable City win here, with Southampton’s defence struggling against City’s relentless pressure.

Emma: Man City 3-0 Southampton
Dave: Man City 4-0 Southampton

Bore repeat for Southampton. They’re unlikely to put up much of a fight.

Everton vs Fulham

A bit harder to call. Everton’s unbeaten in five (though some of those were against weaker sides) and Fulham are inconsistent at best.

Emma: 1-1 draw
Dave: 2-2 draw

Another round of hedged predictions from Dave and Em, but don’t count Everton out!

Chelsea vs Newcastle

Chelsea might be regaining some solidity, while Newcastle just haven’t found that away form yet.

Emma: Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle
Dave: Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle

Sometimes we agree!

Arsenal vs Liverpool

A heavyweight clash, and it’s anyone’s guess. Will Arsenal rebound after losing to Bournemouth last week? Or will Liverpool capitalise on their top form?

Emma: Arsenal 1-0 Liverpool
Dave: Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool

Dave’s calling for a draw, but Emma’s giving Arsenal the slight edge purely on their hunger to bounce back after last week’s bitter loss.

FanTeam Picks This Week

Before we wrap up, let’s quickly talk about our FanTeam picks! FanTeam is a great way to engage with the action over the weekend, and you’ve got until Friday to jump on board for Week 9 with a free entry.

Here’s who we’ve picked this week:

  • Vicario (Tottenham goalkeeper)
  • Son Heung-min (Tottenham)
  • Cole Palmer (Chelsea)
  • Jackson (Chelsea forward)
  • Garnacho (Man United midfielder)
  • Solanke (Tottenham forward)

For those entering FanTeam for the first time, some quick tips: you only need to pick 6 players, so it’s less faff than other fantasy leagues. Plus, since Wolves scored last week, everyone gets a free go again this week. Honestly, it couldn’t be easier! Remember, if you’re playing, it’s always good to gamble responsibly.

Who’s Going to Come Out on Top?

As we head into Match Week 9, the predictions are in, and the excitement is building. Will Wolves finally rise to the occasion? Can the Gunners find a way past Liverpool? And will Dave manage to close the gap on Emma’s lead, or is he stuck where he is, floundering like Wolves at the bottom?

Until next time, here’s hoping for some great football, a few surprises, and maybe, just maybe, a winning streak for Dave. We’ll see you in the next round.

Always Wolves!
