Premier League fans, the question on everyone’s lips is whether Dave can finally break his losing streak after going several weeks without a win. Emma’s in the lead at 28 points, while Dave is trailing with 21 points. But it’s still early in the season, and things can change fast!

DAVE & EM: PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTIONS

Match Week 5 Predictions

Dave’s determined to close the gap this week, so let’s see what they’ve got in store for Match Week 5!

West Ham United vs. Chelsea

  • Dave’s Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Chelsea
  • Emma’s Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Chelsea

Even though the Hammers aren’t having the greatest of starts, neither have Chelsea. Both Dave and Emma think Chelsea’s attack will be enough to scrape past West Ham. Fans seem to agree, with many predicting Chelsea to grab all three points.

Aston Villa vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

  • Dave’s Prediction: [To Be Announced on Thursday]
  • Emma’s Prediction: Aston Villa 1-1 Wolves

Emma’s going for a draw despite thinking Villa might have the upper hand. Dave kept his prediction close to his chest, promising to reveal it during his preview show for Wolves. He’s clearly still hopeful Wolves will show more fight.

Fulham vs. Newcastle United

  • Dave’s Prediction: Fulham 1-1 Newcastle
  • Emma’s Prediction: Fulham 0-2 Newcastle

Dave is backing Newcastle to struggle to take all the points away from Craven Cottage, whereas Emma is more confident they’ll pick up a win. Fans are more in line with Emma here, with several predicting a clean sheet for Newcastle.

Leicester vs. Everton

  • Dave’s Prediction: Leicester 1-0 Everton
  • Emma’s Prediction: Leicester 1-1 Everton

Both Leicester and Everton need these points, and it could be a closely contested battle. Dave believes Leicester will eke out a win at home, while Emma predicts a tense draw.

Liverpool vs. Brentford

  • Dave’s Prediction: Liverpool 3-0 Brentford
  • Emma’s Prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Brentford

Liverpool might be stung from their previous matches, but the duo are confident the Anfield atmosphere will power them to victory. Fans are mostly backing the Reds to win comfortably.

Southampton vs. Ipswich Town

  • Dave’s Prediction: Southampton 2-2 Ipswich
  • Emma’s Prediction: Southampton 0-0 Ipswich

A contrast of opinions here, as Dave expects an exciting draw with goals galore, while Emma predicts a cagey affair. Could Southampton’s home advantage help them edge the Tractor Boys, or will it end goalless?

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Brentford

  • Dave’s Prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Brentford
  • Emma’s Prediction: Tottenham 3-2 Brentford

Both predict a Spurs win in this London Derby, though Emma thinks it’ll be a far closer game. Can Brentford’s attack cause Spurs problems, or will Tottenham seal the deal?

Crystal Palace vs. Manchester United

  • Dave’s Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Manchester United
  • Emma’s Prediction: Crystal Palace 2-2 Manchester United

Neither team has been at their best in the start of this Premier League season. With both Dave and Emma predicting draws, this game could go either way, depending on whether United can find form or Palace step up at Selhurst Park.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Nottingham Forest

  • Dave’s Prediction: Brighton 2-0 Nottingham Forest
  • Emma’s Prediction: Brighton 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Dave backs Brighton to comfortably win at home, but Emma feels Forest could pull off another surprise, earning a draw on the road. Forest’s recent win against Liverpool shows they can compete with top teams—will they do it again?

Manchester City vs. Arsenal

  • Dave’s Prediction: Manchester City 3-3 Arsenal
  • Emma’s Prediction: Manchester City 2-1 Arsenal

This is the big one! Dave predicts we’ll be treated to an absolute goal-fest, while Emma thinks City’s home advantage will see them through what’s bound to be an intense battle. Fans are split, but many back City to continue their perfect run.
