WATCH AS DAZZLING DAVE CHATS About DIEGO COSTA
Wolves are turning to free agent Diego Costa to resolve their striker crisis as new signing Saša Kalajdžić is out for months with an ACL injury and Raul Jimenez is struggling to shake off preseason injuries.
Diego Costa is a forward with Spanish national team and formerly Atletico Mineiro. He was born in Brazil. He spent three different periods at Atletico Madrid, where he won the Europa League, La Liga, and three UEFA Super Cup championships. During his stay in England, he also helped Chelsea win two Premier League championships.
Diego is a powerful striker who is most well-known for his aggression and skill in the air. He is a divisive person who in 2015 was dubbed “the most despised footballer” by the French daily L’Equipe.
Costa made two appearances for Brazil’s national team in 2013 before later that year obtaining Spanish citizenship. Because he had only participated in friendlies for his native nation, the Spanish FA submitted a formal request to FIFA asking for approval to call him up. Costa made his international debut for Spain in March 2014 and went on to play for his country at both the 2014 and 2018 World Cups.
