Colin Brazier opened the scoring in the game on the 20th minute, followed by Norman Bell in the 27th Minute, Villa goal scorer after the 2 Wolves goals was scored by Gary Shaw in the 32nd Minute and the scoring was complete before half time was scored by Peter Daniel in the 36th Minute and there were no further goals in the game.
This match was rearranged from the 8th March due to the involvement of Villa playing in the FA Cup and Andy Gray missed the game due to suspension so he can play in the league cup final against Nottingham Forest.
