JORGEN STRAND LARSEN MADE PERMANENT AT WOLVES

Jørgen Strand Larsen is now officially a permanent Wolves player after a successful loan spell from Celta Vigo last season. The striker’s strong performances in his debut Premier League season triggered clauses in his contract, securing his place at Molineux until 2029.

Strand Larsen scored 14 goals in the top flight during his first year, making a strong impression as he led the line under manager Vitor Pereira. He set a new club record for most goals from a Premier League debutant, surpassing the previous mark set by Raul Jimenez in 2018/19.

The 25-year-old was key in several memorable Wolves victories and became the first ever club player to score in four straight Premier League wins. His efforts powered Wolves to a run of six consecutive wins and earned him the SUDU Player of the Month award for April.

Reflecting on the season, Strand Larsen said he felt proud of his contributions, overcame injuries, and enjoyed a run of goals, especially after Vitor Pereira and his staff arrived. He’s excited to start pre-season training and is looking forward to continuing his progress alongside his former teammate, Fer Lopez, who has also joined the squad.

Strand Larsen looks ahead to another season at Molineux, wanting to build on the team’s progress and determined to help Wolves reach even greater heights.

“It’s been a good first season in the Premier League,” Strand Larsen said. “I’m proud of what I’ve done. I’ve been able to take the steps quite earlier than I’ve done before. Previously when I moved to a new country, I’ve needed more time to get into it and score goals.

“As a striker, the team need you to score the goals and be on the end of the crosses, so to score 14 goals – and come back after my injuries and a little dip of form – it was a good season for me in that respect.

“Since Vitor and his staff came in, I scored eight goals, and seven goals in seven or eight games, so it was a good end of the season, and as a team we progressed in a really good way for next season.”
