Emma shares her thoughts & a few key lessons from wolves v leicester

1. Broken Records

Let’s talk records.

Six wins on the bounce in the top flight—the last time we did that, it was 1970. I keep checking to make sure it’s real. Since Vitor Pereira took over, only Liverpool and Newcastle have won more games. It’s almost surreal how quickly he’s changed our fortunes.

And how about Matheus Cunha? He’s been directly involved in 21 goals this season. Fifteen goals and six assists—only Raul Jimenez has matched that kind of output in a Wolves shirt in the Premier League. Cunha is electric right now.

2. Another Broken Record

I know I sound like a broken record, but this summer is massive.

Wolves need to spend wisely and show true ambition. Many Wolves fans are vocal about wanting our owners Fosun out of the club, me I’m not in that camp, but I am very firmly in the camp of Fosun step up.

I want the club to spend and sell smartly, I’m not asking for reckless owners that just throw money in, I still want wise investment; but Fosun must step up to the plate. Wolves are on the cusp of something special and for the first time since the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo there is real belief.

Half measures won’t cut it anymore.

3. Why Leave Wolves Now?

Sorry Matheus, but this one’s for you!

I totally understand wanting to progress your career, but I can’t see why Manchester United would be the right move. At best, it’s a sideways step—if not a step down. United might talk about having a project, but that narrative has been around for years, and there’s little to show for it on the pitch.

Why would any player want to leave Wolves right now? The atmosphere at the club is fantastic, and there’s genuine excitement about what Vitor Pereira can achieve. It’s not just hopeful talk—there’s real belief that, with a strong summer, Wolves could push for Europe next season. Imagine returning to Europe for our 150th anniversary. That would be something truly special.

4. Once a Wolf, Always a Wolf

Conor Coady was back on Molineux turf, and Wolves fans wasted no time showing their love. He led our pack and was a key part of Nuno’s squad. Hearing his song ring out around the stadium made me emotional—and I’m sure Conor felt it too.

Even in Leicester colours, Coady played with complete professionalism, but the affection from Wolves fans was obvious. There’s a right way to leave a football club, and while Coady didn’t get the send-off he deserved, he left with his head held high. I’m certain he’ll always look back on his Wolves days with pride.

Usually, fans wait until after the match to honour a former player, but Conor got his song in the second half, right in the middle of the action. It was a special moment. Then, with typical Black Country humour, Wolves fans playfully booed his every touch, making everyone laugh.

The lesson? Leave a club the right way, and you’ll always be welcomed back. Once a Wolf, always a Wolf.

5. Jose Sa: My Lord

What a difference confidence makes. Jose Sa’s performances before and after Vitor Pereira are like night and day. Not long ago, many fans wanted him out, but yesterday we saw real passion from our number one. Sa contested the penalty decision with real fire—even if VAR was never going to overturn it. You could see his determination and desire to make the save. Personally I’d like to keep him at the club

6. Everyone Counts

Vitor Pereira revealed in his post-match press conference that Tom King, our fourth-choice goalkeeper, gave the pre-match team talk. I’d love to know what was said, but what stands out to me is the trust Pereira puts in every member of the squad. It says a lot about his man-management style that he handed such an important responsibility to King.

Pereira’s approach off the pitch is just as impressive. He’s out in the pubs, talking to fans, and making everyone feel part of the journey. He knows the fans are key to the club’s success, and building that unity will matter when the tough times inevitably come. Vitor has a plan to make sure the whole club moves forward together.

7. City no problem

Next up: Manchester City. I’m not deluded—I don’t expect us to  roll over Manchester City on Friday. But you know what? For the first time in years, I feel hope.

Early this season, I dreaded games like this. Now, I look forward to them. On our day, Wolves can beat anyone. Vitor Pereira has brought belief back to Molineux. For that alone, he deserves credit.

Wolves are on a roll, records are falling, and the Molineux faithful finally have hope again. Back Pereira, keep the faith, and this club could make history. Up the Wolves!
