He didn’t really have to do much and couldn’t do anything about the goals. Did well on set pieces and his passing was ok.
JACKSON TCHATCHOUA. 6
Good going forward, more so 2nd half, found space and put some decent crosses in. Could have had an assist but his marking at the back post is weak.
YERSON MOSQUERA. 5.5
He was shaky 1st half and alot of the time killed momentum because of making silly fouls. His long throw ins are also not great.
SANTI BUENO. 6
Solid performance, not his best, but he didn’t do anything fantastic or bad just solid.
LADISLAV KREJCI. 6
Got a silly yellow card 1st half and some strange passes giving the ball away. Ok defensively all game.
HUGO BUENO 5
Dreadful 1st half but better 2nd and came to life in the last 10 minutes. I found him very one dimensional and lost his man alot.
ANDRÉ. 5.5
He had a bad 1st half and hardly seen. Decent 2nd half but not a good performance by him. Losing the ball too much and letting players pass him easily.
JOAO GOMES 6
Terrible 1st half but good in the 2nd half plus got an assist. He found a way to break through, finding the runs and causing problems for Brentford.
JEAN RICNER BELLEGARDE. 6
He had a really good 1st half and an OK 2nd half. He seemed to get lost in the 2nd half whereas before the break he was the only one providing anything.
MATEUS MANÉ. 4.5
A bad performance by the young player tonight. He didn’t bring a lot to the game. He looked tired and didn’t seem to cope well with the physicality of the Brentford players being subbed straight after half time.
ARMSTRONG. 6.5. (MAN OF THE MATCH)
He was actually having a graveyard shift up until the goal but after he started playing very well. He was unlucky with hitting the post for his second but kept going and looking for any possibility. Man of the match for his gritty performance and 1st goal as a Wolves player.
SUBSTITUTIONS
ANGEL GOMES. 6.5
He changed the game when he came on (was between him and Armstrong for my MOTM). He helped us keep possession, good forward play throughout the 2nd half. I prefer him playing where he did in this game rather than in midfield.
TOLU ARKODARE. 6.5
He came on scored and hit the crossbar. For some reason.we then stopped attacking a bit. Caused problems from the off for the Brentford defence. He wasn’t on the pitch long enough for him to get MOTM but he played very well.
RODRIGO GOMES. 6
Came on far too late again and I feel sorry for him as when he eventually came on in the 85th minute all the momentum had faded and he had very little to.do . However he did find a run towards the end because this player when he has half a chance he takes it.
MANAGER (ROB EDWARDS). 5
The Angel Gomes sub was a good call but apart from that the other subs were far too late. I don’t understand what tactics were played, especially the crossing into the box 1st half. At the end of the game at times it looked like we were playing for the draw when we need the win.
CONCLUSION
We did well to come back from 2-0 down, but the win was there. We didn’t take all of our chances, lost possession a lot again, more so 1st half, and had some bad luck hitting the woodwork twice.
I would have liked to see Rodrigo Gomes earlier hitting them with some pace. The subs were again a little too late and once again a game of two halves.

However, I haven’t been as often as I would’ve liked, due to being a champion Irish dancer, travelling all over the world up until the age of 21 and then living abroad for over 18 years, I follow my team every week without fail.
Now with two sons being avid football fans who play the sport and the eldest a coach and doing his scouting qualifications, now back in the UK, I’m sure I will be Molineux bound again very soon
