Rating the Wolves Squad After DEFEAT TO Liverpool

JOSE SA- 6.5.

Few mistakes in the first half. Didn’t do awfully bad though. Second half he didn’t really have much to do

RAYAN AIT NOURI – 7.

Played well. Adventured forward quite a few times. Kept Salah from having a good game which isn’t easy to do, especially when playing at home. Trickery today.

TOTI – 8. (MAN OF THE MATCH)

A little mistake for the first goal with his miss kick but other than that he was solid. Love his runs forward. A good performance from him today. 

EMMANUEL AGBADOU – 7

Looked okay up until he had to get subbed off. A good moment was when we played a through ball for Munetsi’s challenge. Hoping his injury isn’t serious.

We really need him.

MATT DOHERTY – 7.

A good display from him today. This backline had to defend, Diaz, Jota and Salah so not easy for us.

NELSON SEMEDO – 6.5.

Adventured forward a lot same as Ait Nouri. However didn’t have a great game today. 

JOAO GOMES – 6.5.

Didn’t play bad but also wasn’t having his best game today wither.

ANDRE – 7.

Played well, some good tackles and helped the team get moving, recovering the ball.

PABLO SARABIA – 4.5. 

Poor today, too slow, not a lot to say about him other than he can cause the teams problems that we don’t need. Subbed off at HT.

GONCALO GUEDES – 5.5.

Didn’t really get going today. Not a great game for him. Subbed off at HT.

MATHEUS CUNHA – 7.5.

Cunha is Cunha. Went deep at times. Makeshift player. A lovely goal by him to get us back in the game. Unlucky not to get the draw in the end.

Cunha is a special player and today he showed us  his quality.

SUBS:

S.BUENO – 7. Came on at HT to replace Agbadou. He put on a good display. Better than his performance against Blackburn last weekend in the FA CUP.

BELLEGARDE – 7.5. He made a big difference in the second half. Been playing well recently. Played really well today, one of the best players on the pitch in my opinion today.

MUNETSI – 7. Unlucky to not score a big chance. Needed to be more ruthless but very unlucky. Looks like a great player. Specially today. Made himself strong.

TOMMY DOYLE – 6.5.Tried his best to help us to get the equaliser. He looked decent when he came on but not enough time to judge.

PEDRO LIMA 6.5 – Wasn’t on too long but the young lad tried his best. Nearly got through to play a ball on the side of the box. Hopefully get to see him more and hope he gets stronger. 

MAN OF THE MATCH Toti. However Rayan Ait Nouri, Cunha and Bellegarde played a good game. Especially in that second half.

Overall performance rating ~ 7.5

A proud performance by the lads. We deserved at least a draw from that! First half we was okay, the referee was awful, with some very questionable decisions. Konate should have been sent off. Liverpool should have been down to 10 men.

Second half, Wolves made Liverpool look average, we dominated and put them on the ropes, Anfield was very nervy.

A good performance in that second half from Wolves. A lovely goal by Cunha but gutted not to get the draw.
