LOUIE LEFEVRE SHARES THE NEWS OF THREE RETURNING LOANEES - DEXTER LEMBIKISA, PEDRO LIMA & HARVEY GRIFFITHS
DEXTER LEMBIKISA
Jamaican international Dexter Lembikisa ends his tenure with League One Lincoln City having made only three league appearances. The 22-year-old also played two games in the EFL Trophy, registering his only goal contribution with an assist in a 3-0 group stage win over Manchester United U21s.
Lembikisa’s best run of form this season was for Wolves U21s before his deadline day departure. He played the full 90 minutes in the first three PL2 games, in which they went unbeaten. His last appearance for the Wolves senior side was in January 2023, playing 45 minutes in an FA Cup replay loss to Liverpool at Molineux. The right wing-back’s contract expires at the conclusion of this season.
PEDRO LIMA
Another wing-back returning is Pedro Lima. The Brazilian enjoyed a far more fruitful spell than Lembikisa, impressing in the Portuguese second tier with Porto B. Lima featured in all five of the team’s league victories so far, and lost only three of the nine games he played.
Lima was even named among the substitutes for FC Porto in a Primeira Liga match with Rio Ave, though he did not get on. With rumours of a Serie A move for Jackson Tchatchoua, and poor form from both him and Hoever, Lima’s early recall may be to provide a solution to Rob Edwards’ right-sided issues.
HARVEY GRIFITHS
Finally, Harvey Griffiths is back at Wolves after spending four months with Crewe Alexandra U21s. The midfielder was not included in a single matchday squad for League Two Crewe, instead playing exclusively for their academy in the Professional Development League.
The only appearance for the ex-Man City man against senior opponents this season came in the National League Cup against Wealdstone for Wolves U21s, before his deadline day move was completed. Crewe’s U21s are bottom of the PDL with just one win and 7 points from 14 games. Griffiths’ contract expires at the end of 2025/26, and he has reportedly been attracting interest from Scandinavia.
Hopefully these three youngsters can bolster Wolves at both senior and youth level, slotting in for either Rob Edwards or James Collins as they both gear up for a big second half to the season.
