Louie Lefevre shares all the news on Tyler Roberts departure to AFC Fylde after more than ten years in Wolves Academy.
Tyler Roberts has ended more than a decade with the Wolves academy to leave the club on a free to join AFC Fylde, where he had already spent the first half of the season on loan.
Tyler ‘Tinkz’ Roberts made his PL2 debut back in November of 2020 and has since gone on to make over 30 appearances in the competition. The Jamaica international has made 14 National League appearances with 3 goal contributions, clearly impressing manager Kevin Phillips enough to secure himself a permanent move to ‘The Coasters.’
The 21-year-old joins at a difficult time for Fylde, who battle relegation down to the Vanarama National North.
Roberts marks the second player to leave Wolves on a free this window following Owen Farmer’s departure, highlighting a concerning lack of players breaking into the first-team from the academy ranks. Always Wolves wish Roberts the very best at his new club.
