jose Sa: 7

What he did he did efficiently and calmly. The stats said two shots on target. Well the first must have been the first half header from Conor Coady which he dealt with easily. Then the highlight of his afternoon, the Jamie Vardy penalty. Had this been properly reviewed the referee would have seen it was Vardy making contact with Sa not Sa bringing him down. Vardy stepped up and in the past he’d have blasted it. Today he placed it to Sa’s right and as he guessed right he made a good save.

Nelson Semedo: 6

Some days Semedo is an enigma for me. He makes himself available repeatedly on the right side to receive the ball but doesn’t make enough use of the overlap instead preferring to pass back to Agbadou. Defensively today accomplished and tidy without any faults.
Replaced  on 89 minutes by Goncalo Guedes.

Emmanuel Agbadou: 7

He didn’t put a foot wrong today like most of his teammates but he also didn’t have to play out of his skin either. Did everything he needed to do without blemish. Tried an audacious 60 yard shot from inside the Wolves half as Hermansen was off his line. It went wide but would have been the goal of the season had it gone in. His partnership with Toti and Doherty has been the backbone on which Vitor Pereira’s revolution has been founded.

Toti Gomes: 7

Like Agbadou he did everything he had to do with efficiency and ease without getting out of second gear. Unfairly booked on 16 minutes for a challenge that was more shoulder and determination than a foul. He wanted the ball more and was penalised. The following 74 minutes included numerous lenient occasions shown to his opposite players by Mr Barrott!

Matt Doherty: 7

Back in the side today and slotted straight back into his role with ease using the wealth of experience he has acquired to deal with anything that came his way. No blemishes and all in all a quiet day for him.
Replaced by Santiago Bueno on 84 minutes.

Rayan Ait-Nouri: 8

Defensively he had a quiet time as the Leicester attack was well marshalled by the Wolves defence. His highlights came in his attacking exploits. He had an assist for the first goal squaring the ball for Cunha to divert into the goal through Conor Coadys legs from 8 yards. He was a constant menace for Leicester with his flicks and tricks to set his teammates off in attack.
Replaced by Pablo Sarabia on 77 minutes. Sarabia : 6 didn’t really have many chances to influence the game.

Andre: 7

Like his fellow Brazilian Joao Gomes, Andre goes about his business in a workmanlike manner. He’s strong, determined and virtually impossible to get the ball off. Both he and Gomes are giants in stature. Today he did all he had to do without getting out of second gear. Another solid performance.
Replaced by Bellegarde om 84 minutes.

Joao Gomes: 7

Gomes has improved his behaviour since his last booking, he’s a model citizen with a steely challenge, ferocious tackle and never say die attitude that along with his compatriot Andre is possibly one of the best midfield pairings in the League. We didn’t see his searching runs today that role went to Cunha. But nevertheless his contribution was like Andre professional.

Matheus Cunha: 9  ⚽️

It was a choice between Cunha and Strand Larsen for my man of the match. But with a Goal and two assists it goes to Cunha. His goal from a clinical cross from Ait-Nouri was deft but accurate, splitting Coadys legs to give Wolves a 1-0 lead. In the second half Strand Larsen won the ball on the half way line and played a one two with Cunha who played a beautifully weighted ball into Larsen’s path. His second was a perfectly weighted ball into Rodrigo Gomes path for him to finish off making the score 3-0.
Replaced by Carlos Forbs on 89 minutes.

JOrgen Strand Larsen: 8 ⚽️

Larsen had a brilliant game. His hold up and link up play is improving week on week. He also got an assist from Cunha, again he won the ball in the middle of the park, played it to Cunha and then took the return pass from Cunha, striking the ball into the left corner for Wolves second goal. The beaming smile on his face showed how much he enjoyed his goal.
Replaced on 77 minutes by Rodrigo Gomes but today he greeted this with a smile and wave to the fans, a good days work, he led the line superbly and now regularly showing if he gets chances he will score.

Marshall Munetsi: 7

This was a typical no nonsense performance from Munetsi. His break up play and energetic running created space for his teammates. His work rate is fantastic.

RODRIGO Gomes: 8   ⚽️

Replaced Larsen on 77 minutes and in that 23 minutes he made himself a nightmare for the Leicester defence. He’s quick, tricky and direct in his play. Scored a delightful goal after playing a one two with Cunha to score in the left corner on 85 minutes.

The scoreline didn’t look likely after the first 20 minutes. Wolves seemed content to just play in second gear, repeatedly playing back to Agbadou and Toti rather than being more adventurous. However the performance in the end was accomplished, skilful, with Wolves getting three excellent goals and they could have had more. A clean sheet for Jose Sa justifying the injustice of a poor penalty decision by referee Barrott

The unbeaten run continues and we take it forward to next Friday and Manchester City. Don’t bet against this Wolves team in this mood.
