Louie Lefevre brings you the latest transfer news from Wolves Academy with news on James Storer and Owen Farmer.

Two players have departed Wolves, one on loan and one permanent, while one joined to make the step up from non-league to top tier academisation.

James Storer has made the step up to the Vanarama National North with Chester City in another loan move that should give the young keeper plenty of opportunities to shine. Storer had a fantastic spell with Darlaston Town (1874) before this season and was recalled to secure a move up the English football pyramid this window. Wolves have done exactly that and Storer has made a winning start to life with Calum McIntyre’s side so far with two wins from two. Chester had been searching for a goalkeeper since Elyh Harrison was recalled by parent club Manchester United at the beginning of the window. 18-year-old Harrison became immensely popular in his 23 appearances with nine clean sheets, and Storer will certainly hope to replicate the success. Chester are currently only a game off top spot in the Vanarama North, and Storer will be hungry to get his hands on a league winners medal before he returns to Wolves in the summer.

Owen Farmer has made a permanent move away from Wolves after being part of the academy for five years. Farmer had become a recognisable figure for the Wolves U21 side over the past few years. Mostly as a striker but occasionally out wide, the energetic forward has amassed just over 40 PL2 appearances since making his debut in the competition against Reading in August 2021. Farmer also gained valuable senior experience last season when he joined Vanarama National North outfit Rushall Olympic on loan. Farmer now returns to that very same division as he makes his move away to Leamington. ‘The Brakes’ sit above the relegation zone but with an eight-point gap between them and the drop, Farmer’s new side should be safe for the season.

Finally, 14-year-old winger Josiah Djokoto will link up with the U15 side after joining Wolves from Carshalton Athletic in the Isthmian Premier League. Djokoto had interest from multiple London-based clubs, one of which being Tottenham Hotspur, but opted to continue his development at Compton Park. Djokoto was part of the Carshalton Athletic U14 white side that won the U14 Thorpe Park Surrey County Cup in April last year. Djokoto scored in the final. Hopefully he can go on to have a long and successful career for Wolves. Welcome Josiah!
