Wolves Eye Wallace Yan & Lucumi as Transfer Talks Heat Up – June 2025

Wolves Transfer Rumours: Summer 2025 Update

Wolverhampton Wanderers are making headlines with several transfer rumours and possible squad moves as the 2025 summer window heats up. The club will need to targe a mix of young talents and experienced players, aiming to strengthen both the attack and defence.

Incoming Transfer RUMOURS

Wallace Yan (Flamengo, Forward)

  • Age: 20
  • Brazilian media reports strong Wolves interest in Wallace Yan, a promising forward from Flamengo. The club hopes his pace and skill can add a spark to the frontline.

Lucas Ferreira (Sao Paulo, Winger)

  • Sao Paulo’s Ferreira is on Wolves’ radar after Krasnodar saw an €8m bid rejected. A deal would likely cost around €10m. The 22-year-old winger is known for his creativity and direct play.

Jhon Lucumi (Bologna, Defender)

  • Lucumi has just one year left on his Bologna contract. Wolves have tracked him for over a year but face competition from Brighton and Tottenham. A transfer could take around €28m. Lucumi’s experience and physical presence make him a strong candidate to boost Wolves’ backline.

Jordan Barrera (Atletico Junior, Attacking Midfielder)

  • Reports link Wolves to Barrera, an attacking midfielder from Atletico Junior. Wolves are eyeing young, technically skilled players for the coming season, and Barrera fits this profile.

Jesus Rodriguez (Real Betis, Winger)

  • At just 19, Rodriguez is already making waves at Real Betis. Wolves are among clubs interested in adding his flair and speed to their wing options.

Possible Exits

Tommy Doyle

  • Doyle is expected to leave, likely on loan. Birmingham City, Wrexham, and Sunderland have expressed interest. A move would provide Doyle with regular game time.

Goncalo Guedes

  • Besiktas are monitoring Guedes. An exit is possible as Wolves adjust their attacking options.

Sasa Kalajdzic

  • Kalajdzic will start preseason with Wolves, but a loan is on the cards. Wolves want him to rebuild match fitness after long-term injuries.

Other Squad News

Hugo Bueno

  • Bueno will be assessed by new coach Vitor Pereira during preseason. Feyenoord wanted to sign or loan him again but are now moving on as he is likely to be in the Wolves squad.

Transfer Activity Status

  • Before leaving his role, Matt Hobs was working on deals like David Brooks. Now, those moves seem unlikely, according to Sky’s Johnny Phillips.

Wolves are targeting emerging talents like Wallace Yan, Lucas Ferreira, and Jesus Rodriguez, with an eye on building squad depth and long-term potential. In defence, Jhon Lucumi remains a primary target, alongside midfield and loan moves for younger players. Outgoings such as Tommy Doyle and possibly Goncalo Guedes are aimed at balancing the squad and wages for fresh arrivals.

Stay tuned as Wolves’ transfer activity develops further throughout the window.

To let Tommy Doyle go for £3m is a disgrace especially being Man City get 50%, so pay £4.3m for a player sell him for £3m recieving £1.5m WHO THE HELL IS RUNNING OUR CLUB, why do those in charge insist on under valuing our players all the time, Ait Nouri should have been double what we sold him for – how much João Gomes £5m?
