Overall, I think Wolves have had a solid transfer window. Some defensive reinforcements were necessary and it gave Wolves a chance to sort out a few very poor loan moves from the first half of the season. The outgoing business was concerning and the fees we have gotten for Cundle and (reportedly) Lemina feel well below their value. A number of academy players were also allowed to leave on a free, extending the run without a successful graduate at the club. The situations of Carlos Forbs, Chiquinho and Sam Johnstone still don’t look close to being resolved. It also would have been nice to see Conor Coady return to Molineux.
A decent window for players coming in but poor outgoing business from the club. I’d give it C+ overall.

THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW SHUT!✅
WOLVES HAVE SIGNED 𝟑 PLAYERS AND MARIO LEMINA GOING OUT TO GALATASARY FROM THE 1ST TEAM.
Emmaneul Agbadou – CB
Nasser Djiga – CB
Marshall Munetsi – midfielder
Emmanuel Agbadou, a class signing. He has fitted into the team perfectly. Beast at the back.
Nasser Djiga, havent seen him play yet. He has played in the champions league however.
Marshall Munetsi, again havent seen him play. He has played with Agbadou so hopefully he fits into the squad just as well.
Cunha signing his contract extension in the January transfer window makes it an even better window. Signing a contract untill 2029!
So overall a decent transfer window. As im writing this we are still yet to see Nasser Djiga play and still yet to see Marshall Munetsi play. They seem to be good players from watching their highlights.
We didnt know much of Joao Gomes when he signed and he is one of our best players. Lets hope these signings follow his steps!
My January Transfer Window Rating ~ 𝟔/𝟏𝟎
It could well go up if these players prove out to be good signings.

Wolves transfer window rating: 7
In a window which Wolves needed to improve the squad due to a poor league position and some clear gaps impacting the sides ability to get results the board has acted to get three new players through the door. Emmanuel Agbadou, Marshall Munetsi and Nasser Djiga.
Agbadou signed in early January and has featured for the past few performances showing a commanding presence even when deployed from his unnatural side on the left. Playing in a more natural position as he did against our victory against Aston Villa Agbadou looked strong and the exact player we needed when under pressure.
The last two signed on deadline day, similar to Agbadou I have little knowledge of either player other than reading their profiles. Marshall Munetsi joining from Reims as did Agbadou is a dynamic central midfielder and hopefully can offer a high pressing energy to make himself a commanding force in the Premier League. Meanwhile Nasser Djiga is a composed central defender who is confident on the ball, it will be interesting to see how he can adapt from title challenges in Serbia with Red Star to a Premier League relegation battle. The most important position to boost the team was defensively and physically conceding so many goals from set pieces and both of these boxes are ticked. If the two deadline day additions offer as much as Agbadou has in his short time with the club this will be regarded as a very successful window despite the air of scrambling around with rejections from players such as Danso and a lack of cover for a currently injured Strand Larsen.
Lots of speculation regarding Cunha leaving, maybe the most important signature was that of the Brazilians who signed a contract extension with release clauses both ensuring he stays until the end of the season while facilitating a future deal both fair to the club and player alike.
Otherwise leaving was Luke Cundle to Millwall on a permanent transfer and Tawanda Chirewa on loan to Huddersfield after an ineffective spell at Derby. Neither player are first team quality so one can hope they can perform.
As with all windows, time will tell if this transfer window has been successful if we can collect enough points to stay in the Premier League.

It’s no secret that Wolves’ first team squad is threadbare. The current injury list has robbed us of:
Jorgen Strand Larsen – Forward
Sasa Kalajdzic – Forward (long term)
Enso Gonzalez – Forward (long term)
Mosquera – Defender (long term)
Meupiyou – Defender
To my knowledge, we’ve not seen Gonzalez or Meupiyou in the first team. Sasa Kalajdzic got injured on his return, so it was essential for Fosun to support the purchase of new players in January. Vitor Pereira wanted two centre-backs, a midfielder, and a striker. Emmanuel Agbadou was signed from Reims and became an instant success. He is strong in the tackle and commanding in the air, just what Wolves have needed. Wolves struggled to defend set pieces and corners, letting in 34 goals at home.
The need for new blood was paramount. But it was Deadline Day, and only Agbadou had been signed. Wolves thought Kevin Danso was coming in to fill the centre-back void, but while he was on the way to Wolves for a medical, he was hijacked by Spurs. If he had really wanted to sign for Wolves, that wouldn’t have happened.
Numerous media bulletins had Wolves signing Uncle Tom Cobbley and all! Finally, good news surfaced with positive reports of two solid impending signings. Marshall Munetsi, a midfielder from Reims, signed on a three-and-a-half-year deal. Secondly, another monster centre-back, Nasser Djiga from Red Star Belgrade, a 22-year-old Burkina Faso international. He’s played European football and is looking to join up with Emmanuel Agbadou.
I can’t wait to see the new formation of Djiga, Agbadou, and Toti forming a new back line to hopefully stem the tide of goals. There was evidence at the Wolves vs Villa game, with Agbadou and Toti, ably helped by Doherty, shutting out Villa.
I think with the introduction of Marshall Munetsi in midfield, the signs are promising for Wolves to climb the table. The public signing of Matheus Cunha extending his contract after the Villa match makes January a brilliant month. Blackburn away on Sunday in the FA Cup. Hopefully, all three new signings will feature.

An excited fan looking forward to the rest of the season.

This was a transfer window where Wolves knew they had to get players in the right positions for this run until the end of the season. The previous manager forgot to strengthen the squad, and Wolves mentioned at the time that they ran out of time to bring someone in.
Vitor has come in and addressed the issues with two decent quality centre-backs. One was brought in early, Agbadou, who has settled down well after a nervous start and has been a good addition to the group. Nasser Djiga has also joined, having played in the Champions League this season and coming from a top club in his country. He has been in great form, and we hope he can bring some of that to our team.
The signing of Marshall Munetsi is an interesting one. He comes from the same club as Agbadou and is a player we hope will integrate well within the group, bringing hunger, determination, and experience.
The window could have been better for Wolves if they had completed these deals earlier instead of leaving it to the last minute. However, we don’t know if these two late additions would have been available at that time. We did miss out on a player who had his head turned by a bigger club, but that’s football; anything can happen quickly during a transfer window. My rating for this window is a C or 8 out of 10. We brought in three out of four targets, and at least we have invested in this transfer window for the remaining fixtures this season.
