Finley Smith rates Wolves performance after a 2-1 win against Southampton in the Premier League.

JOSE SA – 8.

Didn’t really do anything wrong. When we needed him he stepped up and caught vital balls.

RAYAN AIT NOURI – 6.5.

Not his best game. He had good spells and bad spells but played his part.

TOTI – 7.

Did well. Won balls like he does. He really helped us get the win over the line today. A few runs forward as well.

EMMANUEL AGBADOU – 7.

Similar to Toti, calm on the ball at nervy moments. Didn’t do a lot wrong. Looked strong on the ball.

MATT DOHERTY – 7.

Played okay. He played a couple of different positions today. A decent performance from Doc today.

NELSON SEMEDO – 7

Another 7/10 performance rating. Did okay and helped out in difficult moments.

ANDRE – 7.

Didn’t do bad. I didn’t think it was one of his best games but even though that’s what i thought, he still played a good part in the game recovering the ball and trying to push the team forward.

JOAO GOMES- 7.5.

Did well to win the ball back at times in tight moments. Gets stuck in. A good performance from Joao Gomes.

JEAN RICNER BELLEGARDE – 8. MAN OF THE MATCH

This lad is like a new player. I really like how he is performing at the moment. Against Southampton he was strong, got the team going forward. Hope he keeps going the way he is at the moment.

JORGEN STRAND LARSEN – 7.

Did well. Hasn’t been good at all just recently and had a bit of stick but today getting two goals i am very pleased and happy for him. He did better at holding the ball up. For the goal he got in good space. Poor from a Southamptons point of view. Second goal, lovely finish and again, poor closing down from Southampton but take nothing away from Larsen. Played well today.

MARSHALL MUNETSI – 6.5.

Did okay but didn’t see him do loads today.

SUBS:

Guedes 3.5 – Didn’t do a lot. Had a few little chances to get us going but couldn’t really do it.

Sarabia 2 – Didn’t do a lot either. Not a lot to say but it was a lot of Southampton coming at us for the time he was on.

Tommy Doyle 3.5 – Not a lot to say either but came on late when it was nervy so he didn’t do too bad.

Santiago Bueno– N/A

Nasser Djiga – N/A

OVERALL PERFORMANCE RATING ~ 6.5

MAN OF THE MATCH ~ BELLEGARDE

Not the best first half, but Jørgen Strand Larsen’s brilliant move and finish gave us a 1-0 lead.

The second half improved, and while it wasn’t the prettiest performance, it was solid enough. Things got nervy toward the end, and we could have made it easier on ourselves, but the most important thing is we secured the win and the 3 points.

Ipswich’s loss works in our favor, and now all eyes turn to Leicester’s match against Manchester United tomorrow—fingers crossed for the right result there.

A crucial victory for Wolves today. COYW!
On to the next challenge!
