Wolves Season Ends With Hope: Reflecting on Brentford Draw & a Promising Future

WATCH FOR OUR THOUGHTS ON THE FINAL MATCH OF THE SEASON

The final whistle has blown on the Premier League season, and we’re here outside Molineux to break it all down. What a year it’s been! The Wolves drew 1-1 with Brentford in a match that, much like the season itself, had its ups and downs. Let’s dive into the highs, the lows, and everything in between.

The Final Whistle of the Season: A Fan’s Perspective

The feeling after that final match was a mix of relief and reflection. It’s been a real roller coaster of a season, hasn’t it? From the depths of despair to moments of pure joy, Wolves fans have seen it all. Finishing 16th isn’t exactly wonderful, but considering where we were just three months ago, it’s not bad at all. If someone had offered us that back then, we’d have bitten their hand off! Of course, there’s a tinge of disappointment knowing we could have finished as high as 14th, which would have meant a significant boost in prize money. But hey, at least we didn’t end up in 17th, and we finished above Tottenham Hotspur.

Game Analysis: Wolves 1 – 1 Brentford

In the first 20 minutes against Brentford, the team showed exactly the kind of tenacity we love to see. They were right in their faces, not giving them any time on the ball. That’s how you’ve got to play them. But after conceding a goal, it unsettled the team, and the game turned into a bit of a basketball match – end-to-end with chances for both sides.

Matheus Cunha had a great shot in the first half. Then, in the second half, Jorgen Strand Larsen came on and made a real difference.

Along ball, headed on, and then Marshall Munetsi unleashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner. If Pablo Sarabia hadn’t already won goal of the season, that one would have been right up there.

From Despair to Hope: VitOR Pereira’s Impact

Do you remember the feeling after the Ipswich game in December? It felt like we’d hit rock bottom. Despair was everywhere. Then came Vítor Pereira. What a job he’s done! He dragged the players, the team, the fans, and the entire club along with him. He united everyone. We went on a six-game winning run, and even though we’ve had a few losses since then, the hope is back.

Looking Ahead: The Plan for Next Season

This summer is massive for Wolves. Vítor Pereira knows what he needs. We’re told there’s a plan in place for an evolution rather than a revolution. There will be players leaving and players arriving. What do you think of that?

Player Focus: Departures, Potential Stays, and Future Stars

What about Nelson Semedo? He got a fantastic send-off, and we can only hope he stays. There’s a four-year contract on the table. We could definitely use him for another year.

Tommy Doyle is an absolute class act. He came over with his girlfriend, Rebecca, who’s expecting their baby soon, and spoke to the fans. Despite not always fitting into the team, he has a great future ahead of him, whether he stays at Wolves, goes out on loan, or moves elsewhere.

Final Words & Gratitude

Thanks to everyone for sticking with us throughout the season. We are Premier League next year!
