Nick Parkes' Full Wolves ratings after Brentford.
Jose Sa – 7
Recalled to the side and made some crucial saves. One in the first half where he got down low to prevent Lewis-Potter then twice in the space of 2 second-half minutes to deny Schade; one at point blank. A good game.
Ki Jana Hoever – 4
Looks to be positive going forward but gets caught out of position in defence far too often. Lacked quality and any real end product.
Santi Bueno – 4
Recalled but did not have a good day. Caught too many times ball watching and chasing the ball instead of holding his position and marking. Allows too much space behind him when he chases the ball.
Matt Doherty – 3
Another recalled player and the same as Santi, did not have a good game. Caught flat footed and ball watching far too often. Was at fault the glorious chance for Schade.
Ladislav Krejci – 4
Moved back into the back 3 but didn’t cover himself in glory. Shocking defending which allowed Lewis-Potter to open the scoring.
Moller Wolfe – 6
Contributed more going forward and looked a threat in the first half. Linked up with Hwang at times and was unlucky with his looping header in the second half.
Andre – 5
Put in a decent shift and played his role well. Shouldn’t be on attacking set-pieces though.
João Gomes – 6
A typical performance from the Wolves midfielder. Hustled and hurried down Brentford and looked to be attacking in the second half.
Hwang – 5
Started the game really well. Looked confident and showed quality on the ball. A wonderful piece of skill to beat three players in midfield. Was much quieter in the second half.
Fer Lopez – 4
Can’t fault his effort and the intent but his quality was not there. Lost possession too often. Needs to be quicker and stronger on the ball.
Jorgen Strand Larsen – 2
Rated not because of his penalty miss but he showed little again to encourage the fans. He looked disconnected and lacking majorly in confidence.
SUBS
Mane – 7.5 – MOTM
What a cameo by the youngster. Finally someone the Wolves fans can get behind. Caused havoc when he came on and was the only player with a bit of quality. Really really impressive
