Wolves vs Forest Match Report: One Shot on Target and Relegation Looming

Read Mike Lucas' thoughts as hopes from the Villa game vanish. One shot on target, and deep fears about dropping into the Championship.

Another home game  for Wolves to grab their first win and another abysmal performance and loss.

After the performance against Aston Villa it really seemed there was real hope that we could grab our first win of the season.

The performance lacked fight, desire and urgency. The players must know that they need to get this first win of the season asap but that didn’t show in this performance as we was slow moving the ball and was slow at giving options off the ball as there was no one wanting to take responsibility of the ball.

Larsen, what can we say apart from a 6ft guy needs dropping. He lacks effort, doesn’t jump for balls and doesn’t hold up play all of which he was good at last season. There are other players like, Jhon Arias, Moller Wolfe and Agbadou that are nowhere near the ability we need right now. Young players show more determination and fight in short amount of time than these players do in 70/80 mins.

One shot on target at home in 90 mins really shows where we are right now and that is destined for the Championship. Rob Edward’s has been positive with his tactics, lineups and subs but the players just aren’t helping him out and aren’t good enough.

A different approach is needed against Arsenal otherwise there will be a cricket score. Deep conversations needed at the club as the season I believe is to be over as the last 2 games was a chance to put 4 points on the board and we still sit with 2 so we much prepare for the Championship in January as I can’t see any other end result now with games coming up against Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Johnstone was at fault for the goal and yes he made a couple of other good saves but I think there is a chance for Jose Sa to come back in. Wolves really need to pick up points and fast just to not become the worst team in Premier League history.
