WOLVES ACADEMY WERE BUSY ON DEADLINE DAY & LOUI LEFEVRE BRINGS US ALL THE LATEST NEWS ON THE COMINGS & GOINGS

Ethan Sutherland joined the U21 group from St. Mirren for an undisclosed fee. The left-back has one senior appearance for St. Mirren under his belt already this season after coming on as an 87th minute substitute against Celtic. That was not Sutherland’s first taste of first-team football though, as he had spent last season with Alloa Athletic in Scottish League One where he made 18 appearances with two goals and six assists.

Tyler Roberts has joined national league outfit AFC Fylde on loan until January. The 20-year-old forward’s contract at Molineux expires at the end of this season making this a huge opportunity to show his worth and earn an extension or impress possible suitors should he leave. This will be the Jamaican international’s second loan move away from Wolves, dipping lower into the football pyramid after spending time with League 2 Doncaster Rovers last season, where he made 15 appearances.

Another deadline day arrival from Scotland, 16-year-old Sebastian Lochhead signed from Dundee FC. Despite his age, Lochhead has been named on the bench for all three of Dundee’s Scottish premiership games this season but has yet to make his senior debut. Lochhead will link up with Richard Walker’s U18 side.

Wolves have secured the signing of Saheed Olagunju from Chelsea. The young centre-back will be no stranger to Molineux, having been part of the side that won the U17 Premier League Cup last season, beating Wolves in the final. Olagunju was named in the latest England U18 side alongside fellow Wolves man Matheus Mane. Olagunju will initially take his place as a second-year scholar in the U18s but the 17-year-old will no doubt be fighting for a PL2 debut before the end of the season.

Chem Campbell will return to League One having spent the last two seasons there during two spells with Wycombe and a loan to Charlton Athletic. The tricky winger will join Reading this time around to add to his wealth of first-team experience. Campbell’s loan spells have already seen him accumulate 41 senior games while he also has 8 games for Wolves under his belt. The 21-year-old has a contract at Compton until 2026.
