Recapping Week 9 Results: A Familiar Pattern for Dave and Emma
Week 9 was a tough one for Dave as Emma triumphed yet again. It’s becoming a regular occurrence, isn’t it? Emma walked away with 12 points while Dave managed 7 points, bringing the overall season tally to 68-44 in Emma’s favour. Ouch! Dave remains hopeful for a winning streak, though, but with each passing week of losses, he’s starting to sound a bit like a Wolves fan hoping for a miracle!
They reflected on the highlights and lowlights from last weekend, including Emma’s spot-on predictions (again!). With teams like Brighton playing unpredictably and Spurs “going all Spursy”, another week passed where Dave just couldn’t close the gap.

Week 10 Premier League Predictions
Now it’s time for the big ones: the Week 10 Premier League predictions. Dave and Emma are back with their forecasts for the upcoming fixtures. Will Emma continue her winning streak? Will Dave finally get that W? It’s all to play for, so let’s see how they’ve called it this week.
Newcastle United vs Arsenal
- Emma: Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle
- Dave: Newcastle 1-3 Arsenal
Arsenal are in need of a win, and Emma predicts a narrow victory. Dave, on the other hand, expects a stronger showing from the Gunners, predicting three goals.
Bournemouth vs Manchester City
- Emma: Manchester City 2-1 Bournemouth
- Dave: Manchester City 3-0 Bournemouth
Bournemouth may have home advantage, but both agree that City will be too strong. Dave is predicting a clean sheet for the Citizens, while Emma is giving Bournemouth a goal.
Ipswich vs Leicester
- Emma: Leicester 2-1 Ipswich
- Dave: Ipswich 2-0 Leicester
This one has both predicting opposite outcomes. Emma sees a Leicester bounce-back after their loss to Forest, while Dave believes Ipswich will be strong at home.
Liverpool vs Brighton
- Emma: Liverpool 2-0 Brighton
- Dave: Liverpool 2-1 Brighton
Both predict a Liverpool win, though Emma is predicting a clean sheet, while Dave thinks Brighton will grab a goal.
Nottingham Forest vs West Ham
- Emma: Forest 3-1 West Ham
- Dave: 1-1 Draw
Despite West Ham’s win against Manchester United, Emma believes Forest will dominate at home. Dave, ever cautious, has gone for a draw, unsure if either team will fully outplay the other.
Southampton vs Everton
- Emma: 2-2 Draw
- Dave: Southampton 1-0 Everton
A split here again—Emma thinks it’ll be a goal-fest and a draw, while Dave is backing Southampton to sneak a 1-0 win.
Wolves vs Crystal Palace
- Emma: 1-1 Draw
- Dave: (Will be revealed in his preview, but he hints it might be more optimistic!)
It’s a key game for Wolves, really needing their first win of the season. Emma thinks it’ll be all square, while Dave is keeping his official prediction under wraps for now. Word of advice: keep an eye out for his preview!
Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa
- Emma: 2-2 Draw
- Dave: Tottenham 2-1 Villa
This one’s pretty tight according to both. Emma believes this could end level, but Dave is backing a Spurs win at home.
Manchester United vs Chelsea
- Emma: Chelsea 2-1 Manchester United
- Dave: Chelsea 2-1 Manchester United
For once, they agree! Both see Chelsea coming out on top in this clash, potentially turning the tide for the Blues while continuing United’s misery.
Fulham vs Brentford
- Emma: 2-2 Draw
- Dave: 1-1 Draw
For those of you Fulham and Brentford fans keeping tabs, both Dave and Emma are predicting a draw here too, with Emma feeling there’ll be more goals than Dave expects.
The Wolves Conundrum: What Happens if Wolves Don’t Win?
One of the recurring themes in Dave and Emma’s discussions is Wolves’ dismal form. With just one win in 20 games, it’s becoming crunch time. There’s a lot of speculation about Gary O’Neil’s future. If Wolves don’t pick up at least one home win in their next two games, things could look bleak for the club, and, as Dave suggested, the dreaded sack could be on the horizon.
Emma’s view is that Wolves need four points minimum from these next two fixtures, while Dave questions how much longer O’Neil can last if the poor results continue. The growing sentiment among the Wolves faithful is that patience is wearing thin, and changes may be needed sooner rather than later.
