ANDREW BENNETT SHARES HIS PLAYER RATINGS FOR WOLVES DEFEAT TO FULHAM

Flat player ratings after putting a dull performance in to bore Molineux. The overall quality in  Wolves squad hurts the home side with multiple games in a week as Fulham make multiple changes and seem fresher for it.

Jose Sa – 5

Couldn’t have done anything about the first goal a great finish from Ryan Sessegnon. Didn’t have much to do apart from hoof the ball inaccurately up the pitch until the second Fulham finish where Jose was lost at sea maybe still thinking of the warm dressing room and like that it was Fulham 2-1. Similar to the first half wasn’t called upon much for the rest of the game.

Nelson Semedo – 6

Was caught out of position for the first Fulham goal as the ball was placed between the captain and Doherty. Wasn’t able to get forward enough and when he did really had no end product.

Matt Doherty – 6

Partially to blame for the first goal but otherwise got Wolves out of trouble numerous occasions in the second half as Fulham broke. Too slow in possession and took too many touches.

Santi Bueno – 4 (off 77 for Sarabia)

Another poor performance from Santi Bueno who was turned multiple times throughout the game including for the Fulham winner. Less said the better.

Toti – 6.5

Didn’t put a foot wrong defensively but similar to Doherty was too slow. Whipped in a brilliant cross in the second half after nice link up with Ait Nouri but Munetsi could only win a corner.

Rayan Ait-Nouri – 6.5

A quiet night from Ait Nouri who really needs to take on his man more when one vs one. Didn’t do much wrong defensively but equally really wasn’t called upon.

Andre – 7 (off 77 for Doyle)

A solid performance from Andre who kept the game ticking over, clear that midfield composure was totally lost when he was withdrawn.

Joao Gomes – 7 (Man of the Match)

Was everywhere scored a brilliant goal and had another opportunity in the second half from a corner heading just wide. If games were won based on grass covered Joao Gomes would get Wolves three points every week.

Jean Ricner Bellegarde – 6.5 (off 65 for Strand Larsen)

Put in the brilliant cross for Wolves to level and had some nice touches but struggled to find space to hurt Fulham. Had a shot in the first half that was so far wide those who play the Half Time game and miss every week would be proud.

Marshall Munetsi – 6

Anonymous playing as striker/in the attack in the first half. The second he was making some nice touches but nothing was coming off. Not a bad game but couldn’t impose himself on his home debut.

Matheus Cunha – 6.5

Played 20 minutes too long as the Wolves star looked exhausted and was clearly frustrated from being constantly fouled. As always had some nice touches and managed to get a few shots off but all too easy for Leno.

Jorgen Strand Larsen – 6 (on 65 mins)

Came on to be a focal point which was lacking but Wolves couldn’t find the big striker who looks a shadow of himself from earlier in the season. Might be the case he is not 100% fit but really need to get this big forward up to full fitness. Was doing some hard running but wasn’t found and too often had too much space between him and the next Wolves player.

Pablo Sarabia – 5 (on 77 mins)

Anonymous and flat performance, summarised the team performance. Took a couple of nice corners otherwise didn’t do anything of note.

Tommy Doyle – 5 (on 77 mins)

Poor from Doyle who failed to control his first few touches letting the ball bounce away. Made a nice defensive challenge but didn’t offer anything to help the team going forwards.
