Sam Johnstone 6.5
Didn’t do great but he kept us in the game with two vital saves.
Nelson Semedo 6.5
Did okay, was under pressure all the time however not his day today.
Nasser Djiga 6
Did some good play at times but he needs to be stronger. Hopefully he will grow into the role
Santi Bueno 6
Not a lot better than the other players. Kept solid at the back but was very nervy. Just sat back.
Toti 6.5
You could say he was the best CB on the pitch today but got pressured all game.
Rayan Ait Nouri 6
Created a bit of a threat going forward but kept getting exposed when we lost the ball.
Joao Gomes 6
Not his best game, bit scrappy. Not a lot to say about him.
Jean Ricner Bellegarde – 6.5
Got out of tight situations at times and tried to create some attacks but overall not the best.
Pablo Sarabia 4
Slow on the ball, kept misplacing passes. Very frustrating to watch. He is supposed to create attacks and width. Also supposed to run on the flanks but did very little of that
Jorgen Strand Larsen 4.5
Only a touch better than Sarabia, didn’t cause a threat. Only thing he did was hold the ball occasionally but ended in nothing. Poor passing and just lost the ball a lot of the time.
Matheus Cunha 6.5
A 6.5 for his performance as he tried and the only player that tried to create anything but in the end caused a big problem as he got shown red. 1/10 for his actions. Hopefully wont cost us though.
SUBSITUTIONS:
Matt Doherty 5.5
With Dohertys experience I thought he would calm the team down but he didn’t. Didn’t really make an impact on the game, had a crucial penalty that he failed to convert, he could have been the hero!
Marshall Munetsi 5
He couldn’t do a lot as the game was so dominated by Bournemouth. They kept running through us.
Boubacar Traore 5
Same as Munetsi, found it hard to get going in the game.
Andre 5.5
Found it hard to get hold of the ball and get some possession for his side. Not his game.
Alfie Pond 6
A few blocks but he is only young and to come on in that sort of game where Bournemouth are constantly coming at you he didn’t do too bad. Plus he wasn’t played in his regular centre back role.
MAN OF THE MATCH ~ Sam Johnstone for his vital saves at the end.
PERFORMANCE RATING ~ Overall, 4.5.
A tough game to do the player ratings as it was very scrappy and Bournemouth just ran through us, constantly getting corner kicks and we just couldn’t get hold of the game.
Not a great performance.
Bournemouth deserved to win in the end.
