Glad to see Vítor keeping 10 players from the Everton League Cup game and sticking with the same shape. Is this the way forward now, with the identity we have as a unit?
We started well, caused Tottenham problems, and played on the front foot. Johnstone made a magnificent save to stop a certain goal, justifying his start tonight.
Our set pieces were not up to scratch in the first half, but we’re competing, and that’s the main thing.
I was concerned with corner delivery with Arias taking them. We need him in the box to cause problems. That’s a small issue that needs sorting.
We created chances, but we’ll need a substitute in the second half to push us forward and add creativity in the final third. It was a positive first half we haven’t seen in a while.
Pereira’s changes paid off immediately with Santi Bueno scoring his first goal for the club. We need to keep the momentum, as Tottenham could threaten if they bring on key players from the bench.
We’ve played at a good tempo since half-time. We need to keep it up. I’m glad Vítor prevented a red-card situation with the subs, as we can’t afford to lose players for upcoming games.
We limited Tottenham to off-target chances, which was pleasing to see from our defence.
Our second-half game plan caused Tottenham problems and almost got us three points. Conceding so late was disappointing. Yes, it hurts, but we played a great half of football and defended for our lives. One point is a gain, though three would have been better. Fine margins in a game there for the taking. Now we have to get our season going and climb the table. The fans should be happy with this result; the team deserved it.

What can I say? Well done to Santiago Bueno, Johnstone, and Arias. But I did say we can’t sit on a one-goal lead, and we paid the price again. The positive is that Vítor has adjusted his tactics, and I believe we can stay up.
Man of the match has to be Arias. He covered so much ground, and I was very pleased with his performance. I wasn’t impressed with Larsen or Hwang.

We were so close. So, so close. But you know what? Tonight, as a Wolves fan, I’m proud.
After five straight defeats, plenty had already written us off. They said we had no fight, no quality, no hope. Yet under the lights in London, our lads showed exactly what wearing the old gold is about – grit, graft and belief.
Santi Bueno’s goal seemed to happen in slow motion. For nearly the whole second half we stood tall, defending as a pack, chasing every ball, and looking like we might finally break our duck.
Yeah, Palhina’s late equaliser hurt- no denying that. But we weren’t rolled over, we weren’t second best, and we didn’t crumble. We made Spurs fight until the very last kick.
It’s only a point on paper, but to us fans it feels like a shift. The fight is there. The belief is there. And if the lads keep playing with that pride and passion, the first win isn’t far away.
