Sam Johnstone- 5
Maybe could have done better for the first but an average game on the whole. Punched well at times
Matt Doherty – 5
Outdone multiple times and chasing shadows for the disallowed goal. Left player unmarked at the back post and lucky again not to concede. Did play a few nice cross field balls.
Ladislav Krejci – 4
Struggled with the throw ins and not his strongest performance.
Santi Bueno- 4
Similar to Krejci, didn’t win many headers but also looked slow on the ball and picking up defensive positions
Hugo Bueno – 5
Made a few good runs and put in several decent crosses; problem is there’s no quality in the box. Did well to play a part in the big chance for João Gomes.
Joao Gomes – 4
A really poor performance for his standard. No fault in effort but poor in possession and very poor in front of goal. not in the game early on. consistently made the wrong decisions.
Andre – 4
Non-existent against an attack and aggressive midfield. Chased a fair amount of shadows.
Marshall Munesti – 6
Poor first half but did offer a fair bit in the second. Played in João Gomes nicely off the chest and had a great volley saved.
Jhon Arias – 2
A crime that he lasted so long on the pitch. Offered absolutely nothing and poor crossing. A waste of a shirt
Rodrigo Gomes – 6 Man of the Match
Only player who offered any real fight and intent, especially in the first half. Didn’t show vast amounts of quality but his hard work and determination outshone.
Jorgen Strand Larsen -3
Another toothless performance. Yes, he doesn’t get much service but he does nothing to help himself. Out muscled all day and offered nothing apart from a few pot shots.
Subsititutes
Ki-Jana Hoever – didn’t get into the game after coming on -4
Tolu Arokodare– won his first header but off target and put himself about – 5
Jackson Tchatchoua – should have done better with his effort after coming on but offered slightly more than others. – 5

Here we go again. Sell our better players, replace them in a late panic with inferior players, start the season badly, replace the manager by Christmas and hope for a miracle. We all know the blame lies with the incompetent Shi and the disinterested and unambitious Fosun but Perreira is at least partly to blame for poor team selections, baffling substitutions and a complete lack of playing style or identity. Unless we act now it will be too late and relegation will surely follow.
