Palace 1-0 Wolves: Missed Penalty, Red Card, Late Goal (Instant Fan Reaction)

WATCH FOR OUR THOUGHTS ON WOLVES DEFEAT TO CRYSTAL PALACE

Wolves at Palace: Another One That Slipped Away

This was a frustrating one because it felt there for the taking.

Wolves lost 1-0 at Crystal Palace, with the winner coming late in the 90th minute. But the result was shaped by two moments that keep showing up in our season: not taking big chances, and making avoidable mistakes.

The missed penalty changed everything

Wolves grew into the first half and started to control long spells of the game. Then came the big chance: a penalty that could have put us in front.

It did not go in.

The penalty was saved, and it was the kind of moment you just cannot waste away from home in the Premier League. If that goes in, the whole match can look different.

The red card flipped the pressure

The second half felt tight and could have gone either way. Then Wolves went down to ten men after a second yellow card for kicking the ball away.

It might feel harsh, but it also gave the ref a decision to make. From that point, Palace had the advantage and Wolves had to dig in.

Late heartbreak, again

Even with ten men, Wolves defended well for long periods. But one late lapse was all it took. Palace nicked it at the end, and Wolves were left with nothing again.

That’s the part that hurts most. The performance had effort. The game had chances. But the mistakes were louder than the good moments.

The one constant: the away end

If there was a clear “best” today, it was the Wolves support. The away fans were strong all game, and they backed the team right to the final whistle.

They deserved better.

What did you think?
Was the penalty the turning point, or was the red card the real moment the game got away from us?
