Premier League Week 31 Predictions
Week 31 brings another round of Premier League predictions, and this one had a bit of everything, bad score totals from last week, plenty of agreement between Dave and Emma, a few big calls in the relegation battle, and the usual Wolves side chat that never stays quiet for long.
The short version is simple. Week 30 was a poor one for both predictors, Dave still leads overall by four points, and Week 31 has thrown up a mix of safe picks and risky ones. There was also time for some Match Bingo chat and a Eurovision detour!
Week 30 results left honours even
For all the build-up, last week ended with Dave and Emma level. They both scored 4 points from the weekend, which says plenty about how awkward the results were.
Arsenal beating Everton did most of the heavy lifting. Both called that one correctly and picked up three points from it. After that, the scraps were shared. Emma also got the correct outcome for Manchester United beating Aston Villa, while Dave got the correct outcome from Nottingham Forest drawing with Fulham.
Without the Arsenal result, the pair would have come away with just two points each. That says everything about how rough Week 30 turned out to be.
Dave and Emma’s Premier League Week 31 predictions
Some weeks are full of wild swings. This one had a different feel. There were several matches where both landed on the same scoreline, which turned the running joke of the episode into a theme. If you watched along, you’ll know the word was “concur”.

Wolves chat, fan questions and a bit of Eurovision
With Wolves not playing for more than 20 days, there was always going to be room for a wider chat. Tea was on the table, the sun was out, and there was the usual feeling that somehow Wolves probably still prefer it when it rains.
Emma’s Eurovision picks were very Wolves
One of the lighter fan questions asked about Eurovision. Emma’s dream host city was easy, Wolverhampton, with the event staged at Molineux. That feels about right.
As for favourite song, she had a soft spot for Bucks Fizz from years gone by, Dave’s modern pick was “Cha Cha Cha”, the sort of loud, strange, catchy Eurovision entry that sticks in your head whether you want it to or not.
Wolves Women meet-up at Molineux
Another question focused on the Wolves Women clash with West Brom at Molineux on Sunday 29 March. Emma confirmed she would be going, and more than that, she was planning a meet-up with the Girls in Old Gold group.
The plan was to meet at Tunwalls Cafe from 12:00, then walk down together for the game. If you want to keep up with that group, the Girls in Old Gold website is the place to join and sign up for updates and newsletters.
Who goes down from here?
The final big question was the one every struggling side hates, who’s going down?
Emma’s answer was blunt. She thinks Wolves and Burnley are likely to go, and she leant towards Tottenham as the third side based on form, even if she doesn’t especially want that to happen. Dave also sees Wolves and Burnley in serious danger, but he thinks the final place could still come down to Forest or Tottenham, with West Ham perhaps doing enough to get out.
There was also talk about how much pressure would sit on Nottingham Forest, and how telling that Forest v Tottenham game could be. Dave’s view on Spurs was interesting too. If they were to drop, every team in the Championship would treat them like an FA Cup Final.
The “I concur” count is on
The running joke of the episode became a challenge by the end. Dave and Emma kept repeating “I concur”, especially when their scorelines matched, and viewers were asked to count how many times it came up.
That little bit summed up the whole show nicely. The predictions matter, and the running totals matter too, but the fun is in the back-and-forth. Dave still leads by four points, there are eight weeks left, and this one feels like it could swing on just a couple of results.
If you’re following along, now’s a good time to compare your own Week 31 picks with theirs, keep an eye on the relegation fight, and decide where you stand on Eurovision, Wolves Women, and the great “concur” count. This race isn’t over yet.
