BRUNO LAGE HAS BEEN SACKED
After 16 months in command, Bruno Lage has been fired after Saturday’s loss to West Ham United with Wolves dropping into the bottom three.
Last summer, Lage took over for Nuno Espirito Santo, and in his debut season in charge, he managed Wolves to a 10th-place finish.
However, in eight games this season, his team has only scored three goals and accrued six points. Wolves have played 15 Premier League games in which they have won just one game and lost nine.
Wolves spent more than £100 million over the summer in an effort to increase their 38 Premier League goals from the previous year.
Wolves were booed by some fans following the defeat at London Stadium.
Bruno Lage’s departure seemed inevitable and by the end it seemed more a matter of when he would go rather than if.
Wolves are now searching for Bruno’s replacement, watch this space!
