2022/2023 campaign
Wolves kick off the campaign on the road at Elland Road. An away fixture was inevitable for Wolves who aren’t having any home pre-season friendlies because of the Commonwealth Games held by our neighbours in Birmingham. The club will have requested an away fixture to ease pressure on policing.
There are 5 fixtures in August to cater for the re-jig of the schedule to allow a break for the World Cup in November and December and one fixture has been dropped from the Christmas schedule , normally 28th to ease players back in after the tournament.
We now face 3 Midlands clubs Leicester, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. The Villa away clash is currently scheduled to be the first match of the New Year.
Wolves face Liverpool and Man City back to back in the space of a week and with the current schedule this happens TWICE!
The campaign ends on the road again with a visit to The Emirates to face Arsenal.
Let’s hope we have a good transfer window ready to face another challenging season in the Premier League.
