LOPETEGUI
Back in May Lopetegui expressed his concern regarding the transfer window and implying that he was misled on the short term plans for development. Wolves fans are sick of the words FFP but Wolves have spent massively in the last two windows firstly to support Bruno Lage and then as a rescue to avoid relegation. Those funds may not have always been spent wisely but it leaves Wolves in a predicament where they have to balance the books to satisfy FFP and the regulators.
In his latest interview Julen Lopetegui suggest that he was accepting that Plan A was no longer a go but he and his team accepted the challenge of Plan B and looking at more cost effective solutions.
Now Lopetegui indicates that even Plan B isn’t working
Here’s what Julen Lopetegui had to say
“It was bad news for me. I tried in the summer. This was Plan A. We went to a Plan B, trying to think about cost-effective players, but it’s true at the moment we can’t develop this plan, too.
“We lost a lot of players and we think the club want to sell more players. In this situation, we need players to balance the squad and be competitive in the Premier League.
“I know the sporting director, Matt Hobbs, and the recruitment, all this team, have worked very hard to have a Plan A and Plan B, but unfortunately we can’t develop this plan.
“It’s a pity because you are thinking at any moment key players can come and, in the end, they don’t for different reasons. We were excited by this new plan but now we don’t have this plan because we don’t have any new players.
Liam Keen from the Express & Star has recently reported that it is understood Wolves will need further player sales for the club to spend on summer additions. Money to secure signings is now currently unavailable due to a risk of breaching the Premier League profit and sustainability rules.
Guido Rodriguez
Media reports suggest Wolves are negotiating for Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez. He has clocked up 144 appearances for Real Betis and the 29 year old is a regular feature in their line up. He was a part of Argentina’s World Cup-winning squad last December although he only played 57 minutes of the second group stage game against Mexico. The defensive midfielder has just one year left on his contract suggesting that a deal could be done on this one.
Dexter Lembikissa
Demand for Dexter has been high with Coventry, Stoke, Sheffield Wednesday, QPR and West Brom all taking an interest in the Wolves youngster. However reports indicate that he will go out on a season long loan to Rotherham United.
James McAtee
Man City have rejected an approach from Wolves for midfielder James McAtee. He impressed at Sheffield United last season scoring 9 goals and 3 assists. City do not want to loan McAtee out as they feel he has a clear pathway to the first team and has joined the Man City squad for pre season training.
Alex Scott
Wolves and a number of other clubs have been linked with Alex Scott from Bristol City for weeks now and reports suggest that Wolves have had two bids rejected. Recent journalist comments suggest the Wolves now don’t have the money to pay for him or to increase their offer.

We are going to be in a relegation dog fight this season again, while this incompetent pair Shi and Hobbs drag us down, more players will go IE Kilman to Napoli at a reduced fee, Ait Nouri to ? Podence to ?, Sa to forest Bueno to Newcastle all for profit for fosun with the team second in their thoughts, fosun are getting ready for relegation because they know that they can’t afford to pay for our ambitions, asset stripping is at the forefront of their plans, and we thought the bhattis were bad.

Nothing can be as bad as the Bhattis brothers they wanted rid of Wolves football club altogether. Fosun have backed the mangers to be fair but we need them just to back Loppy and then a successful football club with a top manager will always make money for Fosun , but if we’re relegated it will be a disaster. Please Fosun dip into them pockets and back Loppy and there’s a good chance of getting European football back at our much lived football Club Always Wolves . Wolfiematthews.
