WOW! What a result, what a win and what a performance.
Plan, structure and a teams performance. No individual performances.
Brilliant game management in the second half.
Lots of happy Wolves fans and one happy Vitor Pereria.
Let’s hope it continues.

Unrecognisable.
Resolute, disciplined, well-organised Wolves.
Totally dictated the pace of the game in the second half. Leicester had no response. Closed the game out with the utmost professionalism. Made it look easy. That doesn’t happen by accident. That’s comes from know-how at the helm.
Imagine this squad isn’t all that bad and Shi and Hobbs have brought all this negative attention to themselves purely through persevering with O’Neil for so long. That’s no excuse, it’s enough of a crime in itself.
Above all else, we looked well coached again. Which in three days is a minor miracle. But it really is that simple. The players knew what to do with and without the ball. An identity, a 343 with high wingbacks, was evident- as promised. Vitor appears to be a man of his word- which doesn’t surprise me at all, you can tell by the way a person speaks. Everything he’s spoken about this week has oozed integrity. This man is no charlatan.
Belief coursed through us. The desire to keep a clean sheet was also there for all to see. These things come from playing for the manager. These players want to please him. He has their respect.
The difference between today and last week was night and day- and while I had a feeling this would happen, now it has, it barely feels real.
We have ourselves a manager again.
Bring on United. They are there for the taking.

Wow, wow, and wow. It doesn’t feel like the same group of players.
This is what structure can bring you. No individual errors, handled set-pieces well, and everyone knew their role. A couple of sloppy moments to sort out, but overall fantastic.
Switching Semedo and Doherty around seemed to help at the back. Guedes had some really good touches and looked dangerous every time he got the ball. I thought Joao Gomes had a good game back in the team and probably should have scored. I’ve been a big critic of Sa, but I thought he deserved his clean sheet. He was in the right places at the right times and made things look easy.
There is definitely room for improvement and a lot to work on in such a short time, but it finally feels like Wolves again. I’m looking forward to the window to see who he brings in and who will be regular starters. The next six games are tough, and we need to get some surprise results if we want to stay up. I do have confidence we can pick up some points for the first time in a long time.

What a difference from last weekend’s defeat! Our side has regained its identity, showcasing counter-attacking play and solid positioning. Bringing in players from the bench, left out previously, shows what we were missing.
In the first half, we were in dreamland with excellent play. Guedes joined the side, demonstrating his qualities with a goal.
The Vitor Pereira effect and the new manager bounce have shown their impact. We scored a second goal through Rodrigo Gomes, who previously rarely played, thanks to a brilliant cross-field ball by Matt Doherty. We haven’t seen that in a long time.
Just before half-time, Guedes and Cunha linked up well, with Cunha scoring to make it 3-0.
In the second half here wasn’t much intensity compared to the first half, but we still controlled the ball and pushed into Leicester’s final third.
The team showed a different side in this half. We defended well and kept Vardy, away from goal. He usually scores against us.
This side has regained some confidence lost under the previous manager. We kept control of the ball, defended solidly, and maintained a clean sheet. There were moments of sloppiness, but those will take time to fix. Pereira has just started to implement his philosophy, and we can see the beginning of improvements. For now, let’s enjoy the win, as there are still 21 cup finals ahead. This is just the start of a new chapter.
Not saying the word “Set Piece” today is a refreshing change.
The player of the match is Gonçalo Guedes, with a performance rating of 8.
