Nick Parkes rates Wolves player in a superb performance against Aston Villa securing a vital 3 points.

Jose Sa 7

A solid and mistake-free game. Didn’t have a lot to do but did make a few good saves when Wolves were under pressure

Nelson Semedo 7

Defended well throughout the game and linked up well with Sarabia in attack at times

Matt Doherty 7

No thrills nor spills in a solid defensive performance. Did what he had to do well.

Emmanuel Agbadou 7.5

Can be sloppy with the ball at times but no doubting his impact. Strong to win the ball back which started the move for Bellegarde’s goal. Looked comfortable in the middle of the three.

Toti 7.5

Wolves defensively looked much more assured with Toti back. Defended very well and looked to carry the ball at times

Rayan Ait Nouri 7

A good defensive performance from Rayan, did what he does well and got closer to his man in dangerous areas. Amazing skill deep in Villa’s half. Subbed off on 70 but put in a great shift.

Andre 7.5

Covered so much ground and stopped absolutely everything in the first half. Up against it in the second but was excellent throughout.

Jean Ricner Bellegarde 8.5 Man of the Match

His best performance since last season at home to Liverpool. Replaced Joao Gomes and did not look out of place. A great finish for his goal but his all-round aggression, determination and energy was excellent. First half he was electric and second he did more of the dirty work with Wolves under pressure. Fully justified his selection

Pablo Sarabia 8

Another player who put in a great performance, especially first half. The fight and passion he showed throughout was 10/10, he battled for everything and his assist to Bellegarde was perfect. A big performance and one which he and us needed

Matheus Cunha 6.5

A mixed night for the main man as overall his performance was poor. Lost possession countless times and really struggled to make a big impact on the game and missed a big 1-1 chance in the first half. But with all great players they have their moments and another piece of magic put the game to bed very late on. Great goal and great to see him put pen to paper on his new contract

Goncalo Guedes 7

Did his best to lead the line but missed a few massive chances which could have spared the fans from a very nervous second half. Involved in the build up for the first goal but really should have put the game to bed.

Rodrigo Gomes 6

Full of energy when he came on at a time when Villa had most of the possession.

Tommy Doyle 6

Similar to Gomes, fought for everything and put in 100%

Hwang 6.5

A confidence player who hopefully gained a little more self- belief with a great assist. A beautiful through ball to Cunha. Wolves need him to contribute so good to see him stand up.

Santi Bueno 6

Came on to shore up the defence late on. Maintained a clean sheet so did his job
