SEAN STANTON WANTS TO GET RID OF VAR - HERE'S WHAT HE HAS TO SAY...

Fans from a handful of Premier League clubs stopped the European Super League in its tracks.
They took on the forces of greed and they won.
It’s time for the fans to act again..
And get rid of VAR.

Pick one weekend.
Boycott every game.
Cancel your Sky and BT Subscription (It’s so easy to cancel and subscribe again these days)
Oh yeah and don’t bet on any of the results.

Believe me, the people who run the Premier League will soil themselves. The TV companies will soil themselves. The advertising companies will soil themselves. The owners of football clubs will soil themselves.
The players ?
The managers ?
They’ll be on our side. They don’t want VAR either (and they’ll still get paid)

I’ve had enough of VAR.
I despise it.
I hate the fact that the first thought that goes through my mind after a goal is “Hang on. Calm down. What if someone was offside in the build up”

Just imagine, being able to completely lose ourselves in the moment again. Thousands of us, all going apeshit at the same time, for the same reason. Hugging people we don’t know. Those wonderful, joyous moments after a goal when nothing else matters. All our problems forgotten for a few glorious seconds of wild uninhibited celebration……
That’s why we go to football matches.

VAR stole that from us and its time for us to take it back.

Imagine a world with no Stockley Park. A world where the ref’s assistants just put their flag up straight away when they think its offside. A world where its only handball if you deliberately hand ball it. A world where you don’t have to wait for what seems like a lifetime for a bunch of middle aged men to come to a decision that nine times out of ten beggars belief.

We had that world before and we can get it back.

It has now become obvious to everyone that the reason they won’t let us hear the discussions between the ref and Stockley Park, as they do in other sports like cricket and rugby, is because they know we would then realise how utter clueless and useless they all are.

It is time to halt the gravy train that these incompetent and arrogant officials are riding on.

Let’s show them all that we mean it. Let’s all get together.

Pick a weekend.
Boycott the fixtures.
Boycott the TV subscriptions
Boycott the bookies and let’s get our beautiful game back.
