John Percy of The Telegraph has broken the news about Raul Jimenez’ injury. Those of us who watched the pre-season friendly against Besiktas saw Raul in some discomfort and was substituted before half time were concerned about how serious the injury would be.

It turns out that Raul has a minor injury to his knee and a groin strain which could keep him out of the squad for 8 weeks.

Where does that leave Wolves in the transfer market?

Well it leaves Wolves in a predicament! Having agreed a season long loan for Fabio Silva with Anderlecht wolves are without a striker yet again. We were told that a striker was a priority for Bruno in this window already before the injury to Raul but now the position Wolves find themselves in is concerning considering a striker is essential to Bruno’s new preferred formation of 4-2-3-1.

How this will all pan out we will have to wait and see but it looks like Wolves will be heading to Leeds with Neto, Hwang or Podence playing as a false 9.
