As the end of preseason draws nearer, Wolves and Sporting CP played off an interesting draw in Faro. Both teams scored from the penalty spot.
After Wolves has a strong start, Ruben Neves was the first to score when he converted his penalty. However, shortly before halftime, Pedro Goncalves, a former member of the Wolves Academy, equalised for the Lisbon-based club by scoring from the penalty spot to tie the score.
In the second period, chances were few and far between, but both teams would have been happy with a competitive warm-up for their upcoming season.
