With safety in the Premier League confirmed Wolves can now look to build Lopetegui’s team for the forthcoming season. We have Sasa Kalajdzic and Chiquino to return in the Summer and Pedro Neto is just getting back to his best after injury so these will all feel like new signings. There are a number of player with just 12 months left on their contracts so we could see big changes in the Summer and an overhaul of the squad. So here are a few of the players that  Wolves reportedly hold an interest.

Nuno santos

Nuno Santos, a midfielder for Sporting Lisbon, has apparently been targeted by Wolves as a possible summer transfer target.

Wolves are expected  to lose Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho and there has been interest touted in Matheus Nunes but on the whole Wolves are well stocked for options in the centre of the pitch but there could be room to add Santos.

Santos has still contributed eight goals and four assists from his 28 appearances this season and has contributed 27 goals and 28 assists from 134 appearances during his three years at Estadio Jose Alvalade.

It is reported that Sporting Lisbon are willing to consider bids of €15m (£13.02m)

Nottingham Forest, Nice, Torino and Eintracht Frankfurt are also said to be monitoring the situation.

LUCAS MOURA

The Brazilian forward is out of contract at the end of the season. It is believed that Wolves “have started talks with the player’s representatives”.

Tottenham have made it clear they will not renew Moura’s £90,000-a-week contract, with Roma, Lazio and Marseille also expressing an interest in his services. Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also in contact over a move, with both Premier League rivals possibly able to offer European football next season.

The 30-year-old has lost favour at Spurs and has only played 116 minutes of Premier League football this season without contributing a goal or an assist.

Moura was once referred to as “magic” by Jonathan Northcroft of The Times, has plenty of experience at the highest level for club and country. He has made more than 500 senior appearances for Sao Paulo, PSG, and Tottenham, contributing to more than 200 goals. This demonstrates his talent and suggests he might revive his career in the Midlands.

VIKTOR GYOKERES

According to Sky Sports, Wolves are the front-runner in the Premier League to recruit the Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres. West Ham and Crystal Palace are also rumoured to be admirers.

Sky Blues want around £25million for the forward. His departure could depend on what division Coventry are in. They are in the play-offs and could get promoted to the Premier League.

Gyokeres is still only 24 years old and he is showing great quality and potential to get even better. His overall tally this season 47 games in all competitions, 22 goals and 10 assists. He has also played for Sweden and has three goals in his 13 international appearances.

neves, costa & adama

There was a rumoured swap deal with Barcelona with a swap deal for Ansu Fati. The deal didn’t particularly look good for Wolves with them also having to stump up a chunk of cash for the deal to go through. Respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has since said that Ruben is not a priority for Barcelona but it still likely we will see Neves exit in the Summer window.

Julen Lopetegui has spoken highly of Diego Costa and what he adds to the team and has said that he would like to agree a contract extensions. Wage demands may by an issue for a veteran striker but we are probably only just seeing Diego coming into his best after working hard to improve fitness.

Adama Traore is set to leave on a free with reports of a number of European and Turkish clubs interested in the winger.

Sarabia has been linked with a move to Valencia and a number of clubs are eyeing Matheus Nunes but it’s doubtful they would meet Wolves asking price.
