wolves cancel their pre season South Korean tour

Wolves have been forced to withdraw from their pre season trip to South Korea this Summer.

Wolves had fixtures lined up to play in South Korea against Celtic and AS Roma but the tour promoter Stadium X/USG failed to fulfil its financial and logistical obligations. The tour promoter lost it’s original investor and has failed to find an alternative investor meaning that the trip was no longer a viable option for Wolves.

AS Roma had already been reported to have withdrawn from the event for the same reason cited by Wolves. The opportunity to play in South Korea was to be a lucrative one for Wolves and an opportunity to further grow the Wolves brand in Asia.

Wolves are now working on a European alternative to ensure that their pre season plans have minimal disruption for the players.

“I feel incredibly disappointed that we’re not going to be able to fulfil the commitments that we made in South Korea this summer, not only for our partners and suppliers, but, of course for Hee Chan and all of our fans,” “We are absolutely gutted to not be going to Korea. We’re all devastated because we had so many different things planned for supporters that we’re now not going to be able to fulfil. “To the supporters in Korea, we want reiterate to you that we are committed to the Korean market and we hope to find a way to demonstrate that to you, in spite of the disappointing news about the upcoming tour and matches.”
