NICK PARKES SHARES HIS THOUGHTS ON WOLVES PERFORMANCE AGAINST WEST HAM

JOSE SA 5

Cannot be beaten from a corner as a professional Premier League keeper. Did well to prevent a few efforts

SANTI Bueno 6

An OK performance from Santi who looked confident in the first half. As most Wolves players, the second half wasn’t as good.

MAX Kilman  5

Had a tough second half and not exactly why he stuck his hand out for the penalty. Seemed to have rectified the mistakes with a late equaliser but ruled off by VAR.

Toti GOMES 5

Had a solid first half and looked composed but gifted possession in the lead up to the first goal when he should have just cleared his lines. Struggled in the second half

Nelson Semedo 6

Almost gifted West Ham an opening goal in the first half by being too clever by his goal. Did well going forward in the first half and created a good chance for Sarabia by chasing down a lost cause.

Mario Lemina  6

Had a controlled first half but tough second. Looked to dictate play by picking up the ball deep. Won the ball back well during the first half but was chasing his own tail in the second.

Joao Gomes  6

Similar to Lemina with a controlled first half and won the ball back countless times but looked lost in the second.  Good cross for the ruled out goal late on

Matt Doherty  5

A chalk and cheese performance from Doc who had a decent first half. Linked well down our left and played a beautiful headed cut back for Doyle’s chance but couldn’t string a pass together with anyone in the second. Did make a crucial tackle against Kudus late on in the game.

Ait Nouri 6

A real threat in the first half when he picked up the ball. Found himself in great positions to run at West Ham and was important to the goal. Very disappointing to see him go off so quickly with a “sore calf”. With Wolves up against it in the second half, we really needed him to step up and take responsibility.

Tommy Doyle 6

Picked up some very intelligent positions on the left hand side and looked dangerous going forward. Missed a few chances in the first half and played a wonderful ball to set up the penalty. Dropped off the pace in the second

Pablo Sarabia  5

Avery mixed game for Sarabia as he started off dreadful with his passing and ball retention but he grew as the first half went on and started to be very creative. Took his penalty well and almost added a second with a free kick just before half time. Struggled to cause any damage in the second

Matheus Cunha 5 (SUB)

Didn’t cause any real issues for West Ham but great to see him back on the pitch

Boubacar Traore 5

Shot from distance going top corner but saved

CHIWOME, BUENO, CHIREWA (SUBS) N/A
