Sean Stanton talks var!

He knew he’d made an absolute “Horlicks” of the back pass.

He knew Jimenez was in on goal and about to score and he knew he had no option but to bring the Wolves striker down, which he did instinctively, plainly and obviously.

Nick Pope, knew it was a penalty and a red.

Raul knew it was a penalty and a red.

The Newcastle fans behind the goal knew it was a penalty and a red.

The Sky Sports pundits knew it was a penalty and a red.

Peter Walton and Dermot Gallagher knew it was a penalty and a red.

Stevie Wonder and David Blunkett knew it was a penalty and a red.

In fact everybody watching all around the world knew it was a penalty and a red card.

Everyone that is, except referee Andrew Madley.

“Ok” we thought “he must have been unsighted. Not to worry. Stockley Park will review it and they’ll tell him it’s a penalty and a red”

THEY DIDN’T EVEN RECOMMEND HE HAD ANOTHER LOOK AT IT ON THE PITCHSIDE MONITOR!

So what happened ? Was it corruption ?

I don’t think so.

Was it cowardice ?

Some are suggesting the VAR officials were thinking “If we tell him to take a look at the screen and he gives it, we’ll probably be invited to the Saudi Arabian embassy tomorrow.. and never be seen again.

I don’t think so.

What was it then ?

Complete and utter incompetence combined with absolute zero accountability. That’s what it was.

They don’t care if they got it wrong because there will be no consequences because It was only Wolves.

Wolves, who got robbed at Liverpool (The offside that wasn’t)

Wolves, who got robbed at Forest  (The penalty that should have been)

Wolves who nearly got robbed at Saints (The ludicrous red card for Lemina)

And Wolves, robbed again at Newcastle.

That’s four diabolical game changing decisions in the space of two months.

Four absolute howlers in our last twelve games.

We could still be in the FA Cup.

We could have gone further in the Carabao Cup.

We could be on 30 points.

Can anyone think of any monumentally catastrophic decisions that have gone in our favour in that time ?

The answer is NO.

One of the two hopeless, useless, clueless, brainless, pond life, intellectually challenged idiots who were on VAR duty yesterday was called Constantine Hatzidakis.

Heard of him ?

No, neither have I.

Seems a bit of a “made up” name to me.

I reckon the PGMOL didn’t sack Lee Mason. They just told him to change his name by deed poll and carry on.

“No one will notice” they probably said.
