Week 12 Premier League Predictions: Can Wolves Pull Off a Win? 🐺

Here we are, back with another round of Premier League predictions, ready to dive into Week 12.

Oh, and before I forget, if you’re just catching up or listening on the podcast, do leave your predictions too and let us know what you think in the comments.

Ready to go with your Premier League predictions? Let’s see if I can keep my winning streak alive for another week!

Last Week’s Results and the Wolves Connection

For those of you who missed last week’s predictions, spoiler alert… Dave won! 🎉 That’s two weeks in a row now, and he’s hoping it bodes well for Wolves as they seem to mirror his fortunes. Although when Emma wins, well, Wolves don’t, so there’s clearly some good luck at play here! If you’re rooting for Wolves, you should probably be backing Team Dave. ✨

Anyway, let’s dive right into our Week 12 predictions.

Early Kickoff: Leicester vs Chelsea

Dave kicks things off, and while he thinks Emma might have cheated (she insists she didn’t), we both ended up agreeing on the score. We’ve gone for Leicester 1-3 Chelsea. Chelsea are just too strong whether they’re playing at noon or at midnight—a solid 3-1 feels right. The chat chimed in too, with most backing Chelsea to get all three points comfortably. Even someone who boldly said it’d be 9-1 to Chelsea. Mate, we hope you’re right!

Here are our predictions for Leicester vs Chelsea:

  • Dave: 1-3 to Chelsea
  • Emma: 1-3 to Chelsea

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest

With Arsenal determined to make up for some recent wobbles, it feels like this could be a walk in the park for the Gunners. Dave has gone with 3-0 to Arsenal, while Emma gives Forest a bit more credit with a tighter 2-1 Arsenal win.

That said, quite a few in the chat think Forest could surprise us. Someone even predicted a Forest 2-1 win, ambitious but plausible if you buy into underdog stories!

Here’s what we think:

  • Dave: 3-0 to Arsenal
  • Emma: 2-1 to Arsenal

Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace

Both sides will be desperate for wins, but Villa should have enough at home with Palace lagging in form.Dave has confidently gone for 2-0 to Villa, while Emma, surprisingly, agrees on that score! We’re actually seeing eye-to-eye a lot this week, which is either a good thing or a sign we’ve been predicting together too long.

For Villa vs Crystal Palace, we’ve got:

  • Dave: 2-0 to Villa
  • Emma: 2-0 to Villa

Bournemouth vs Brighton

Bournemouth are on a mini-run, and though Brighton are always a threat, Dave suggests a more tentative 1-1 draw here. Surprisingly, the chat seems mostly supportive of the idea that Bournemouth will give Brighton a run for their money too.

Emma, yet again, agrees… but with a slight twist: she’s gone for a 2-2 draw.

Our picks for this game:

  • Dave: 1-1
  • Emma: 2-2

Everton vs Brentford

Dave might be losing it here, but he’s  gone with 1-1 .  Emma claims Dave always looses because Ihe doesn’t “think things through”, she also ended up calling a 1-1 draw. Great minds, huh! Brentford might be the slightly better team, but Everton will likely grind out a result at home.

  • Dave: 1-1
  • Emma: 1-1

Fulham vs Wolves

Ah, here we are—Wolves! Now, if you follow the channel, you know Dave’s saving his Wolves predictions for tomorrow’s preview. But Emma’s gone with 2-1 to Fulham, saying she’s not confident because of our injuries in defence. Fair enough, but we hope she’s wrong. We really need those points!

Want to hear Dave’s prediction, though? Tune in tomorrow! 😉

  • Emma: 2-1 to Fulham

Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur

It’s always a tough one between these two, and we expect excitement either way.Dave thinks the teams will cancel each other out, leading to a 2-2 draw, and yes, Emma has also gone for 2-2. Maybe it’s time to mix up the predictions next week to stop this alignment!

  • Dave: 2-2
  • Emma: 2-2

Southampton vs Liverpool

Liverpool take on Southampton, and it feels like they will have an easy time. Dave’s going big with 4-0 to Liverpool, and surprise, surprise, Emma’s gone slightly smaller with 3-0. Either way, we expect a comfortable ride for Liverpool.

  • Dave: 4-0 to Liverpool
  • Emma: 3-0 to Liverpool

Ipswich Town vs Manchester United

Ipswich pulled off an upset recently, but this is a big stage for them against United. Dave’s gone with a 2-1 to Manchester United, while Emma’s banking on a 2-0 win for the Red Devils, thanks to the new-manager boost. Should be an interesting one!

Predictions for this matchup:

  • Dave: 2-1 to United
  • Emma: 2-0 to United

Monday Night Football: Newcastle vs West Ham

Newcastle are back in form, so Dave is confident they’ll come through against West Ham. Dave  calls a solid 3-1 to Newcastle. The chat largely agreed, with predictions ranging from 2-0 to 4-0 for Newcastle. Emma rounded out the show by calling a 2-0 to Newcastle, predicting the Toon clean sheet.

For the last match of the week:

  • Dave: 3-1
  • Emma: 2-0

Who Gets the Sack First?

And before we wrap up the Premier League predictions for this week, here’s a fun little game for you—who do you reckon gets the sack first: Gary O’Neil or Lopetegui? Leave your thoughts and predictions on that, too. Both of these managers have had a bit of a tough time but for different reasons.

Thanks for reading, folks.  Got predictions of your own? Drop them in the comments below.

Oh, and we’re on BlueSky now—join us there if you like. Let’s hit 35,000 subs before the year’s out! 💪
